Mission Statement

LSSCM provides free civil legal assistance to low income persons with emphasis on homelessness prevention, domestic violence prevention, assisting in accessing health care, food, and needs-based income programs.

History of the Organization

LSSCM provides free civil legal advice and representation to low income individuals and seniors in 13 counties in south and central Michigan. Since its’ inception in the early 1960s, LSSCM has been a leader in the field of service delivery to low income individuals. The organization serves approximately 10,000 individuals a year. More
